Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3HIf you're want to assemble a new desktop PC uses an Intel Haswell, there are some chipset that you can choose. Intel Z87 Express is the highest variance of the number presented by Intel's chipset. However, if you do not plan to overclock and use two graphics cards in SLI or CrossFireX optimally, Intel H87 Express could be a more appropriate choice. Beyond those two things, the facilities offered by the Intel H87 Express are similar to the Intel Z87 Express.

One of the motherboard is present in hardwarerate and utilizes the Intel H87 Express chipset is Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H. The first time I saw Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H, direct eye focused on the second PCI-Express x16 slot. Once learned, it turns out that this second PCI-Express x16 slots come from Intel H87 Express instead of the processor. Therefore, the bandwidth only up 2.0 x4. Even so, Gigabyte still provides support CrossFireX, although not optimal when using the Intel Z87 Express.

Regarding the expansion slot, the motherboard from Gigabyte also provides two PCI slots. So, you are still using the two expansion cards with the old interface, no need to bother looking for when selecting a replacement expansion card.

Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H gives six 6Gbps SATA ports, six USB 3.0 ports, but no eSATA and FireWire. The good, for the affairs of the output to the display, Gigabyte provides a fairly complete output. This presents a micro ATX motherboard 15pin D-Sub, DVI-D, and HDMI.

As already mentioned above, the Intel H87 Express officially not intended to overclock the CPU. However, Gigabyte like some other manufacturers add these features to the GA-H87M-D3H, although not as complete as when using the Intel Z87 Express. Unfortunately, there is no easy to clear CMOS button on the rear panel as well as indicators of the POST process.

One of the advantages of the Intel H87 Express is that it allows the Intel Small Business Advantage. Just a reminder, the Intel Small Business Advantage is a computing platform which consists of hardware, software, and firmware that is aimed at small businesses without a managed network. It offers six applications that Monitor Software, Data Backup and Restore, USB Blocker, PC Health Center, Energy Saver, and Wireless Display. The goal is to help manage security, productivity, and energy.

In addition to the Intel Small Business Advantage, Gigabyte also presented a number of distinctive features such as DualBIOS and EZ Setup. DualBIOS add a backup BIOS chip, while the EZ Setup facilitates the utilization of a number of Intel technologys.
